Rnd 3: (1sc, 3sc in next st, 2sc) repeat 4 times [24]

Rnd 6: sc in all 32 st [32]
Rnd 7: slst in all 32 st [32]
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Continue working in tapestry crochet, you can carry
the yarn inside the stitches or leave it on the wrong
side of the work and catch it to change colour.
Rnd 8: work in grey and dark green or
in yellow and pink. Leave the slst of the
previous round unworked on the front of the work and
insert the hook in the stitches underneath {img 1},
sc in all 32 st changing colour every 2 st [32] {img 2}
Rnd 9- 13: sc in all 32 st – 5 rounds {img 3}
Continue in dark green or pink.
Fasten off the second colour.
Crochet work in rounds naturally tends to bend
on one side, stretch the stitches to make the lines
almost vertical {img 4}. Cut a cube the size of the
crochet box from a polystyrene piece {img 5-6}
or add toy stuffing as you go.
The decrease stitches of the next round should be in
line with the increases of the top of the box {img 7-8}.
Rnd 14: (2sc, inv dec 2 times, 2sc) repeat 4 times [24]
Rnd 15: (1sc, inv dec 2 times, 1sc) repeat 4 times [16]
Rnd 16: inv dec 8 times [8]
Fasten off, pick up all the front loops with a tapestry
needle and pull tight to close {img 9-10}.
Decorate your box with mini pompom, ribbons or
gold thread. Add a tiny cardboard tag to finish!
