Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi Blue Dragon Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;
Size:
8 inches from bottom to top of head with weight 4 yarn and a 3.25 mm hook.
Skill Level Needed:
Intermediate- suitable for novice crocheters, requires patience and precisions when assembling
the dragon and basic crochet skills.
Materials Needed:
Yarn: Worsted Weight #6, approximately 150g of main color and 50g of accent colors
Color A: Variegated yarn, Color B: Black
Hook Size: D hook or 3.25 mm
20 mm safety eyes
Scissors, sewing needle, stitch marker, fiberfill stuffing.
Abbreviations:
mr= magic ring- crochet single crochet stitches in to the
adjustable loop BLO= back loops only
ch= chain stitch F/O= Fasten off
sc= single crochet stitch hdc= half double crochet
sl= slip stitch FLO= front loops only bob= bobble st
dc= double crochet stitch inc3= 3 sc in the same stitch inc4= 4 sc in the same st
inc= increase- make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch
dec=decrease- crochet two stitches together using the decrease method
(4 sc, inc) x 6= repeat the pattern between parentheses 6 times.
Notes:
• Do not join rounds unless stated, work in a continuous spiral.
• Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.
• All stitches are worked in both loops unless stated otherwise in the pattern.

With Color A:
Ch 5
- inc in 2nd ch from hook, 2 sc, inc4, working on opposite side of chain: 2 sc, inc= 12
- inc x 2, 3 sc, inc x 3, 3 sc, inc= 18
- (sc, inc) x 2, 3 sc, (sc, inc) x 3, 4 sc, inc= 24
- (2 sc, inc) x 2, 3 sc, (2 sc, inc) x 3, 5 sc, inc= 30
- sc in each st around
- 7 sc, bob, 4 sc, bob, 17 sc
7-8. sc in each st around - (3 sc, dec) x 6= 24
- (3 sc, inc) x 6= 30
- (4 sc, inc) x 6= 36
- (5 sc, inc) x 6= 42
- (6 sc, inc) x 6= 48
Place eyes between rounds 12 and 13, leaving 10 holes between them. If you want the sunken
eye look, do not place the backs of the eyes on until round 21.
TIP! You may have to adjust the eye placement depending on yarn and hook size you use.
14-18. sc in each st around - (6 sc, dec) x 6= 42

- (4 sc, dec) x 6= 30
Now for the eyes. Stuff the head well. Cut a long piece of yarn and remove the eyes. Place the
needle in the hole where the first eye was and thread the needle into a hole next to the eye
hole. Go back and forth between each eye hole repeating the process from the first eye. Pull
slightly on the yarn after going through each hole.
To place the backs of the eyes you will need to remove most of the stuffing to place the
washers on the eyes then re stuff it - (3 sc, dec) x 6= 24
- (2 sc, dec) x 6= 18
- (sc, dec) x 6= 12
- dec x 6= 6
F/O and sew the hole closed.
Wings(Make 2):
With Color B:
Ch 8
- sc into 2nd chain from hook, 5 sc, sl st in last ch, ch 1= 7
- Turn, 2 sc, inc, 4 sc, ch 4= 12
- turn, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 2 chains, 4 sc, inc, 2 sc, sl st in last st, ch 1= 12
- turn, 2 sc, inc, 9 sc, ch 4= 17
- turn, sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next 2 chains, 9 sc, inc, 2 sc, sl st in last st, ch 1= 17
- turn, 2 sc, inc, 14 sc= 22
- Ch 1, turn, 9 sc, work 6 sc in the same st, 8 sc
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
Head and Body:
- Pin the head and body together.
- Sew the head onto the body. You may need to add more stuffing as you sew.
Horns: - Pin the horns onto the top of the head.
- Sew the horns onto the head.
Ears:
- Pinch the ears together at the bottom of the ear. Sew together about 3 stitches to
create a closed look. - Pin the ears next to the horns.
- Sew the ears onto the head.
Arms:
- Pin the arms onto the side of the body approximately between rounds 22 and 23.
- Sew the arms onto the body.
Tail: - Pin the tail onto the back of the body.
- Sew the tail onto the body.
Wings:
- Pin the wings onto the back of the body.
- Sew the wings onto the body.
FINISH
