Materials Needed:

  1. Yarns
  • Dark brown – for sole, body and arms
  • Vanilla cream – for head, hands and legs.
  • Salmon Pink – for shoes, body, hat,
  • Light pink – for flowers
  1. Size 1.25mm hook
  2. 7.5 mm black safety eyes
  3. Tapestry needle – for sewing all parts
  4. Fibre fill stuffing
  5. Acrylic paint – for blush
  6. Glue gun
  7. Buttons/beads for accessories

Tips:

  1. Crocheting amigurumi requires a very tight stitches to avoid holes and
bumps that are visible when you stuff your amigurumi. So instead of
following the hook size reccommendation of the brand of yarn you use,
always go down 1 or 2 sizes.
  2. Be consistent with your tension/gauge. If you find amigurumi’s leg
bigger than the other leg, that is because your tension is to loose.
  3. Stitch counts are very important. Always use a marker as you crochet to
avoid confusion. You can use yarn in contrasting colour or even safety
    pins!
  4. Increase (INC) means you crochet two single crochet in one stitch.
  5. Invisible Decrease (INVDEC) means you decrease through front loop
only; this always count as one stitch.
  6. Do not join every round to avoid unwanted ridge. Instead, work in
continous round and keep track of your rows with stitch marker. That’s
    why, MARKER IS A MUST!
  7. Don’t forget to count your stitches specially when you are doing your
    increase or decrease stitches.
  8. Always leave long end of yarn for sewing.
  9. Before sewing all parts of your amigurumi together, use those pins to
    keep them in place.
